Can the Ultra High Pressure Flexible Hose continue working after torsion during operation?

Slight torsion of the Ultra High Pressure Flexible Hose during operation is quite common in industrial working conditions. Minor twists often arise from equipment movement and pipeline fine-tuning. Whether the hose can remain usable mainly depends on the torsion magnitude, duration and timely reset. Different torsion states bring vastly different impacts on the product, meaning torsion does not always render the hose unusable or faulty.
For temporary, slight small-angle torsion during operation, if operators detect it promptly and reset the hose to a straight state, the hose can operate normally without residual adverse effects. Such minor torsion merely creates slight angular adjustment of the tube surface with minimal stress. It will not destroy the composite structure between the inner and outer layers of the hose or trigger inner cavity deformation and material fatigue damage. The stability of medium transportation as well as pressure and wear resistance of the tube body remain unaffected. After resetting, the hose can fully recover to standard working conditions, representing a compliant temporary working state.
In contrast, large-angle torsion, forced violent twisting, or continuous operation while the hose remains twisted will inflict persistent damage to the Ultra High Pressure Flexible Hose, and continued operation under such conditions must be avoided. The structural design of the Ultra High Pressure Flexible Hose fits stress modes of straight placement and gentle bending. Torsional force belongs to abnormal stress. Long-term operation under torsion creates unbalanced stress across the tube body, triggers dislocation and pulling between inner and outer materials, and subjects internal reinforcement structures to sustained torsional stress.
Short-term operation under torsion directly disturbs internal medium flow, bringing unstable pressure, fluctuating flow rates and pipeline vibration, which undermines construction precision and efficiency. Continuous torsion over a long period creates permanent twisted deformation of the tube body, accompanied by spiral wrinkles and tight deformation on the outer cover. Fatigue aging speed of internal materials accelerates greatly, easily causing local cracking, delamination and breakage, and significantly elevating failure risks during high-pressure work.
In addition, repeated torsion and reset at the same position leads to local material fatigue and continuous decline of flexibility. This spot becomes a weak point where damage tends to occur first under subsequent pressure-bearing operation. Therefore, during on-site work, stop equipment timely to reset the hose once torsion is observed, adjust pipeline routing and avoid operation under torsion. If irreversible deformation, wrinkles or tight tension emerges on the hose after twisting, adjust the pipeline layout or replace the Ultra High Pressure Flexible Hose immediately to prevent risky operation and secure construction safety and stable equipment performance.
