How long is the service life of the ultra-high pressure hose?

The ultra-high pressure hose is an important component of the ultra-high pressure cleaning machine. It is an important component that connects the nozzle and the ultra-high pressure pump. In the use of the ultra-high pressure cleaning machine, there are many factors that affect the service life of the ultra-high pressure hose. In addition to the process level of the hose in the production process, the quality and performance of the inner layer and the joint, the correct selection and use of the ultra-high pressure hose and many other factors have a great impact on the service life of the ultra-high pressure hose. The following mainly introduces the three major factors that affect the service life of the ultra-high pressure hose:

1. Pressure matching

When using and selecting ultra-high pressure hoses, it is necessary to correctly select hoses with appropriate pressure levels based on the working pressure of the ultra-high pressure cleaning machine. When the actual pressure used exceeds 1.25 times the specified pressure, the working life of the hose will decrease by 50%.

In addition, the pressure fluctuations during the operation of the ultra-high pressure cleaning machine, the instantaneous opening and closing of the high-pressure spray gun and control valve, and the fluid pressure fluctuations in the pipe are also factors that have a great impact on the service life of the ultra-high pressure hose. Therefore, it is recommended that when purchasing ultra-high pressure hoses, they should be selected based on 1.5 times the working pressure. For example: the working pressure of the ultra-high pressure cleaning machine is 1200bar, and the ultra-high pressure hose with a working pressure of 1800-2000bar should be selected. This can greatly extend the service life of the ultra-high pressure hose.

II. Diameter matching

When equipping the ultra-high pressure hose, it is necessary to select it according to the requirements of the ultra-high pressure cleaning machine host, because the pressure and flow of the ultra-high pressure cleaning machine have very strict regulations or restrictions. The change of the diameter in the pipe will affect the working impact force of the front end of the high-pressure water jet and the balance of the system. Experiments have shown that replacing the ultra-high pressure hose with a diameter of 5mm with an ultra-high pressure hose with a diameter of 4mm will reduce the service life to one third of the original.

III. Specific requirements for the use, storage and preservation of ultra-high pressure hoses

(1) When the ultra-high pressure cleaning machine is in working state, the hose must not be twisted and bending should be avoided as much as possible. If bending is necessary, ensure that its bending radius is not too small, generally not less than 15 times the outer diameter of the tube, otherwise it will cause the outer steel wire of the reinforcement layer to be stretched and the inner steel wire to be compressed, thereby reducing the pressure resistance of the entire ultra-high pressure hose and ultimately affecting the service life of the hose.
(2) When the ultra-high pressure cleaning machine is in operation, the ultra-high pressure hose cannot be crushed by heavy objects, hit by sharp objects, or bend. The outer layer should be protected from excessive wear; the high-pressure hose used for hanging should be fixed firmly at a short distance.

(3) During the specific cleaning operation, try to avoid frequent opening and closing of the handheld high-pressure spray gun to reduce the impact of pressure pulses on the hose, thereby extending the service life of the hose.

(4) In order to prevent accidents and prevent injuries when the joint falls off or is damaged, the ultra-high pressure hose should be equipped with a steel wire braided protective sleeve at both ends of the connection.

(5) When installing and disassembling the ultra-high pressure hose connection, do not force it to be disassembled or twisted. The thread of the connection thread should be protected. At the same time, it is required to apply lubricating oil to the outer surface of the thread during installation, and use a protective sleeve to protect the connection thread after disassembly.

(6) When the ultra-high pressure hose is not used for a long time, the internal water should be drained, and the hose should be bent and rolled into a roll according to the specified size and then placed flat. Special attention should be paid to the bending near the ultra-high pressure hose joints. The joints should be coated with anti-rust oil to avoid contact with high temperature, high pressure and highly corrosive media.
