How Long Is The Service Life Of The Jack Hose

The service life of the Jack Hose is usually 2-5 years, depending on the conditions of use and maintenance. The following are the main factors that affect the life:
1. Frequency of use
Hoses that are used frequently wear out faster. For example, the life of hoses used every day in repair shops will be much shorter than those used occasionally at home.
2. Working pressure
Long-term operation near the maximum pressure value will accelerate the aging of the hose. It is recommended to keep it below 80% of the working pressure.
3. Environmental factors
High temperature, low temperature or exposure to sunlight will shorten the life of the Jack Hose. Oil and chemical contact can also cause corrosion.
4. Maintenance
Regular inspection, cleaning and proper storage can extend the service life. Wipe it clean after use and avoid folding it for storage.
5. Quality difference
High-quality hoses are more durable than cheap products, and the inner material and the outer wrapping process are critical.
It is recommended to check the Jack Hose every 6 months and replace it in time if the surface is cracked, expanded or the joint is loose. Under normal use, the hoses in the repair shop may need to be replaced every 1-2 years, and those used at home can last for 3-5 years. If there is leakage or pressure drop, it must be stopped immediately.
Remember, overused hoses may burst suddenly, posing a safety hazard. Regular replacement is safer and more reliable than repair.
